Kieran was bouncing around the territory, enjoying the clear skies and sunshine while he could. Trends in weather told him that it would only be a matter of time before more snow fell onto the lands. Originally, he had planned to enjoy a little fresh air as he sat outside to do a little carving. Being suddenly forgetful, he left the old knife he’d salvaged from the human city back at the den. Left with only a partially-carved block of wood, he decided a walk would be better. He tossed the block about as he walked, humming a low tune to keep himself occupied. By the time he realized that he looked a bit foolish doing this, he noticed the stranger sitting amongst the trees. Smiling a bit from both embarrassment and friendliness, he offered a greeting. “Well, hello there.”
