The snows had finally arrived. The Dreamer male had been anticipating this event ever since the temperatures began to drift and linger into the much colder regions. The warmer seasons had been wet, filled with frequent rainfall and, as a result, plenty of flooding. Last year, the winters had brought plenty of snow to the small region of Nova Scotia, and if the previous seasons had been any indication, this winter was to be just as snowy. Part of him was still amazed at the sight of this winter weather, and he decided that that was the reason he had chosen to ignore his better judgment and go for a walk when the snow began to fall.

Ehno wasn’t as fond of the cold season as many natives of the area might have been. Growing up in the warm regions of Italy, the male wasn’t used to such cold weather, and almost instinctively he felt a sort of distaste for the cold. Initially he had found it very strange and unnatural, but after spending over a year in these lands far from his home, he had learned to adjust to the colder climate a bit. Despite the Dreamer’s slow adjustment to the cold, his preference for the warmth would always remain. His interest in the snowy weather was rather peculiar, considering this; despite the cold temperatures it brought with it, he often found himself mesmerized by its beauty. The first snows of the season were rather wondrous to witness. As he walked, his amber gaze took in the sight of the white flurries descending upon the green lands, swallowing the color. He slowed his pace when a familiar monument crept into view.

The Highrocks was an area Ehno sometimes lingered around, and once or twice he had made the climb to some of the higher portions of the natural monument. In the cold and snowy weather, he intended to pass it by with little more than a few curious glances before continuing on his ill-timed walk through the lands. That plan changed when he noticed a familiar—and fresh—scent lingering around the area and leading straight up the rocky surface. It was Urma, he realized with a smile. He hadn’t yet spoken to the kind woman since he had returned from his lengthy stay at Phoenix Valley. Certain that she would be happy to hear the news of her friend Naniko and their children, he decided alter his plans and follow after her. Of course there were plenty of better places to hold a friendly conversation than upon a rocky hill during the first snowfall of the season, but Ehno liked the adventurous weight that idea held. He shook off some of the gathering snow from his hair with a grin, and then began his ascent of the mountainous Highrocks.

His impromptu hiking trip went rather flawlessly, as he slowed his ascent whenever he thought the newly-fallen snow might hinder him. Before long he reached the wide plateau at the peak, and he spotted the Dreamer that had unknowingly inspired him to make the climb. Urma sat in the snow with her gaze transfixed upon the beautiful landscape, a red cloak pulled tight around her. “Quite a view, isn’t it?” he commented as he approached, a smile on his maw. He came to a halt and lowered himself to the ground, taking a seat beside her. “Long time no see,” he joked. “How’ve you been doing?”
