And she's gone

.......

He had been there for her when no one else had. Hemming, the wolf with the odd ways and amazing perspective on life (which she totally didn't appreciate...it made her think about her life and stuff), the one who she had thought was weird and even a little crazy, had turned out to be the opposite. He had turned out to be her hero. It was just plain weird, how her feelings for him had changed. It'd gone from her being so-so about him to her being somewhat friends with him...her to really liking him. She wanted to be around wolves who would help her out when she really needed it, if that time came. Plus, Hemming was actually pretty handsome. She felt like she was seeing him all over again for the first time every time that she laid her blue and yellow eyes on him.

Not one for emotions, though, she tried to keep it to herself. She would give him the present and see how he reacted to it, if he liked it. She learned from his words that he hadn't been trying to trick her, as she'd previously thought (darn...now she had a reason not to hate him). She was about to say something when he offered to show her his den. Addi thought about this for a few scant seconds before nodding, agreeing to see it. What would his den look like, she wondered. She'd give him the present after she saw it--he was probably telling the truth, that it was too cramped, but she'd have to see for herself. And besides. If it was really that cramped, then she'd get to be up close to him. Tight quarters. Distracted by this thought, the girl almost missed his next question. "The whale bones? Yeah, I remember them"
