There was nothing wrong with following someone stronger than him; Sicarus had been proven the weaker of the pair, and now Kai had to lead him. Sic followed at the other wolf's side, clearly dominated and overpowered by the younger man. The sounds of their footsteps were in perfect accord with one another, but unlike most wolves, Sicarus did not follow directly behind the other male to leave only one set of footprints. They weren't outside of the borders anyway—who cared if they left only one set? Sicarus didn't really think about things like a normal wolf, perhaps due to his messed-up wiring, perhaps due to his strict upbringing. The Italian wolf shrugged at the other man's comment; by his figuring they should be lucky they had a place to sleep at all within Haku's domain. The beige-colored subleader had extended his kindness to them, stooping to allow little peons like them in his pack.
The Gazon's stride had to be stretched some to accomodate for the other wolf's gait, but as he was in Optime form and the other canine was in Lupus, this was not so difficult. The werewolf had to motor more quickly to keep up with the other canine, and his endurance was not so great in this form. Slightly winded, he cocked his head at the other canine's question, forming a smirk on his tawny-furred muzzle. "I fell from the sky, remember?" he said shortly. Remembering being stuck to the ground, the Gazon winced, folding his ears back. He'd rehearsed the story plenty of times—he was a simple southlander, headed up from Texas. There was plenty of time on the boat to think over his story, after all. He figured most people wouldn't know the difference between Spanish and Italian anyway, right? Classic Sicarus—underestimate everything. "I came from down south, actually. A place called Texas," he said, confident this large area was vague enough. He'd seen worldmaps before, and Texas seemed to be the largest state anywhere near this place, and it was also far enough away to be an unlikely origin for anyone else around here.
