What she understood of Inferni was vague, and surrounded by the idea that they feared wolves and hated them for the persecution that they had suffered at the hands of the species. Anu was unsure how she felt in the midst’s of a clan member, always hoping to show that she was not like the other wolves they had known and wanting to be a good representative of her kind. To know that it was Dahlia that they particularly did not mix well with brought new light on her previous confusions. As she herself felt that Haku was the one that made Dahlia unsafe, it must have been his presence and his actions that gave Inferni a reason to hate the pack of wolves. But, the feelings were felt by the flower pack as well. Inferni was not known for their cordial greetings, and so the animosity could truly be shown from both sides. And, as Anu listened to Alexey explain, they had already tested the formability of the Dahlian borders.
Noticing the change in the tan colored features, and the dip of her ears, blue eyes were drawn away for a moment in hopes that she would not show her intensity. But the news that was given made the Dreamer stop her paws completely. Alpha? He was the leader of a pack, a pack that Anu had once trusted and found as a comforting place. He controlled them, and controlled any of the wayward beasts that sought the comfort of a monster with an insane mind.
"I.." She tried to speak, but her voice was no more then a squeak and there were not words that could come to her, and she could only remain quiet. The sudden icy grip of fear that clenched her heart restarted her paws, though walking slowly; she felt the need to continue home with no more idle stops. Silent as well, Anu tried to listen to the other female, and what she caught was the name of the young male she had met not long ago.
“Conor?” She asked with the concern she was feeing for all the world in her voice.
“Is he alright?” with the tone of a mother Anu questioned the wolfess. She must be the anchor for the rest that looked for peace and safety among the rest of the chaos and the menacing creatures that she was sure Haku attracted. Was the cinnamon male safe? The brother of Colibri and she had spoken about frivolous things, things that mattered only when lives were not at stake. Now, Anu could not linger on how the male fared with his love affair.
