I am so old school with this old school ass table.

The hybrid woman did not know what to make of the other canine, still. It had been two months, give or take, since the other canine had arrived; she felt she had gained nothing useful from Vieira in the way of knowledge. She knew very little about Eris, and what she had found out thus far she did not like. She knew even less of Astaroth; she did not even know if Samael and Razekiel were aware they had a younger sibling. Viei wasn't younger by much; it was no more or less than six months between her and her half-siblings. The silvery canine had not discussed their relationship with Vieira thus far—she had hardly seen either, so large had Inferni grown, so extensive duties of sweeping the border. There was always her own trauma to contend with, too.

The other canine's response caused the hybrid's ears to droop, her golden yellow eye focused on the bibelot stuck on the other canine's nose. Kaena wondered how much it had hurt—had Vieira even been cognizant of what was happening to her when it was put in? Had she only been a puppy when it was placed there? The hybrid did not know what to make of her response; she frowned, her coal lips set into a thin line, obvious concern written across her face. Whatever had happened to Vieira the first three years of her life, it would take more than one apology to right it. "I do. It was not right," the hybrid said, almost hesitantly. She knew nothing of basic rights; there was no canine constitution or bill of rights to declare them out for her, but something in this still felt off. Vieira was still a ranked member of Inferni, was she not? Even ranked at Quintus, she was not below the ability and right to say no to something she did not want. Of course, had she wanted or even requested that sort of treatment from Kaena, it would have been an entirely different matter... and while Kaena had not remembered the canine saying yes, she did not remember her saying no, either. She had not said no to Haku, herself. That was her fault—yet the hybrid woman could not quite place that what had happened to Vieira was her own fault, either. It simply did not compute to her.
