Vieira slipped by the woman after she told her to lay back down. The woman carefully moved back into her room. Getting back down a second time would still be difficult but she knew what to expect. She regretted getting up int he first place but she knew it was better to save her hide from the abuse she might receive, even if it would not have come. Her jaw tightened in reflex as she slipped down on the mess of blankets. The extra blanket Kaena gave to her made a surprising world of different and she clenched the edges when she sat on the ground. She pulled it over her chilled legs. The wind could not reach her room but the air was stale and cold.

She lingered in the upright position for a bit and looked toward the exit of her room. She could only see a partial form of her owner but she was sure she was waiting to make sure she made it all the way down. The woman winced as she moved and carefully rotated her body so she could sleep on her front. Her blanket hung around her hips and she pulled another close to her chest and hugged it. Vieira did not find sleep and instead stared at the dark wall, eyes traveling to find the small building of legos she made a few weeks ago. She had the strangest urge to reach out and break it but she resisted and hummed quietly to herself.
