Kaena's movements startled her but she was able to conceal any action. The hybrid's help was well taken and she smiled again, her tail thumping beneath the blanket but it did not go more than one or twice before it settled against the back of her legs, stiff as the rest of her body. What she did not expect next was her laying down with her instead of her own bed. Her jaws parted to say something, perhaps question the woman, but she realized she had nothing to say. Instead, she shut her mouth and swallowed hard, deciding to just close her eyes and rest with the woman near her.

She felt a wave of safety with her at her side, as if nothing could get her. It did, after a few minutes, make her feel better and the awkwardness disappeared. With someone so close, she believed no one could come and get her. That the wolf whom nearly killed her could not come back for her in order to finish what he started. She shuddered at the thought and Astaroth, in the back of her head, laughed.

She thought of the time they spent together, nearly a month ago, when Kaena confessed her secret to her. That someone hurt her and Vieira had given little for her to take as sympathy. Vieira just had no way to express it, no way to really feel it, but knew she needed to. Astaroth's laughter lingered, though quieter now that she had her own thoughts, and she fought against it. "Miss Kaena?" she asked for her attention of the other tentatively, as if she did not want to speak at all but something was making her. Even Vieira did not know why she wanted to speak but something pulled it forward. Perhaps it was the lingering sound of the laughter she listened to for so long.

"Do you... do you hear things in your head?" she asked, her ears falling back against her head. She might have turned her head or twisted to keep her facial expression completely hidden but the pain in her body kept her still. She turned her head downward slightly to hide her eyes as best as she could, afraid of a punishment for speaking without being spoken to first or asking a question that was not allowed.
