Semyon had donned his full equipment, but not with the intention of using it. His leg was much better than it had been upon his arrival, and he could move around more freely. It was comforting to know that he would be on his way again soon, as soon as his debts to Haku Soul had been paid. So far, he had not been prompted to do anything, but considered doing something on his own initiative. Perhaps if he led a successful raid, it would be enough for this pack's leader, and he could be off sooner. Semyon had always felt suffocated in a pack, always wanting to be free to do as he pleased, without having to answer to someone. Not because he usually did things that most would consider wrong; he had inherited a strong sense of right and wrong from his family. No, it was just knowing how he would have to explain himself to someone, if he did anything at all they did not approve of. Different packs had different laws and ways of thinking, and for all he knew, Semyon could have broken some of these guys' laws already. Packs were not a good place for him; solitude was.

He explored the claimed lands of this people; if he was to defend it, he had to know it. One thumb was lodged in the belt around his waist which held various weapons. His sling, a pouch of good-size rocks, and a strange metal device; a circle with a handle and some knives on it. It was rather large and looked as if it was in the way, and the first month after he had found it it had been. But now it was as integrated with him as his own tail, and when he pushed aside some vegetation to look into the clearing ahead, he barely thought of its presence at all. The pieces of leather which were wrapped around his arms and thighs didn't bother him either; he had spent so much time in them that he would feel less natural without them. Nostrils picked up the scent of a Dahlian as he drew closer to the stream nearby (he had heard it some time ago). It was a chance to learn more about this place, but his face was not as expressive as one would have expected when he finally did spot and approach the stranger. His fiery eyes studied the other male for a moment before he introduced himself abruptly. "Semyon." He gave a nod as a greeting; it should suffice.
