Their conversation, their exchanges of sentences, was short and concise. It pleased Semyon; he did not, for example, care much for elaborate talk. What purpose could it serve, other than to try and impress or intimidate the conversational partner? Such things were unnecessary, and this warrior liked to cut to the bone; get to the stuff that mattered. This.. Minos, he seemed to be someone he could enjoy talking to. He spoke openly, without the strange and elaborate wrapping that was social convention. The "obligatory" exchange of sentences such as "what do you do?" or "how are you?" or whatever it was, it could be cut away. It was unimportant. Semyon enjoyed how he did not seem to know nor care how long he had been here; it was much like his own take on the world. He was always traveling, so it was just a waste of time to keep track, really. The shift of the seasons tended to help him with that though. His yellow eyes twinkled at the other's question, enjoying how wonderfully it crashed with the ordinary exchange of ordinary phrases between strangers such as themselves. "Coyote, bear, wolf... I've fought a lot of things, and a lot of wars." Wars and wars, often what he had done would be better described as political assassinations, but still. It was war in its own way, he supposed.
