Big Grin

It didn’t feel bad to say it, though only a small part had wondered if it would, a small meek voice of cowardliness. But there was nothing that told Mati was it was wrong to think it, to want and wish that it be true, and to speak it. Her friend's expression and reaction was something that baffled Mati, and she had to look at him hard and long to figure out what was going on. At first she was confused, he had just said that Cambria was cute, had asked if she would ever be interested in him and now he looked indifferent… not more like disgusted at the thought.

Instantly Mati went to the defensive. As much it pleased her to think that Strel wouldn’t take Cambi from her, or try such a thing, He would be wise not to speak of the Marino woman with a look of revulsion on his face. Her face was a bit stoic, unmoving as she tried to process everything that he was saying. In the end concluded that it was a, “Good.” thing. Her voice was slow and the words drawn out a bit as her face became a bit softer, now figuring who would likely win in a fight over the little female. She was confident that she could take the male if it ever came to that.

There was a slight change in the air, and Mati waited with a new tension in her stance. He questioned seemed pure business, and some sort of business he was certainly speaking of. She didn’t know what to say, a bit take a back by the forwardness of his question. She hadn't seen this side of him, and the two had never talk about… that Mati was relieved when he began to correct himself, being a bit more specific. The female took a breath that she didn’t know she was holding, and answered with a small smile. “Yeah, we have.” He seemed so weirded out by the whole idea, and Mati soon felt a bit embarrassed. He must think them strange, stubbornly she figured that he could think what he liked.

Then, his next question came, changing everything. “I don’t know…” She thought aloud, she just simply was. But she found that it was Cambria that was the one she was drawn to, not females in general. At least she didn’t think so. Then, the pieces all fell together and Mati spoke with a bit of surprise in her voice. “Wait, you aren’t?” Eyes looked at his face, having never thought about the other extreme Mati still didn’t want to put that label on him but the idea that maybe there was someone beyond her family that she could talk to about all of this was already bringing her a bit of relief.
