It was not that Strel was looking for something in particular. He just wanted to find someone who could make him feel that legendary spark. Someone who could make his heart pound like the way the hearts of all those lovestruck girls he had once talked to. Those girls' male counterparts had divulged something very similar, though it seemed like the kind of emotion that he wanted. The girls had felt something more weakening; the redhead wanted to keep his wits about him if he wanted to not get lost in his emotions. But he was definitely not above sharing them if he felt so inclined. Real men don't cry, but since when had the Duc ever followed conventional knowledge?

Letting off a light snicker, the redhead nudged her a bit as the smile on his face changed from gentle to more playful. "Yes you are lucky. Lucky that I am here to be that annoying friend." Of course he meant after he met Cambira. It felt like he really did need to check out exactly who Cambria was and what made Mati feel that way about her. Ah, to be in love. What a fancy. Strel almost lost himself in a daydream before he realized where he was and who he was standing before.

"So, tell me Mati, what are you going to do with another blank canvas?" Strel almost started strutting, eying his friend after every few steps back and forth. That cocky grin on his face betrayed his meaning. "And when is your birthday, my dear friend, Miss Church," he added, letting his tenor voice rise and fall in an attempt at elegance and eloquence. If it was hard for Mati to figure out his line of thought, it was harder for the redhead to figure out why one thought brought another to mind. It was an unconnected trail, but at least he was coherent despite the two not seeming remotely related.
