Ears flattened against the golden fur on his fur and his own upper lip seemed to shiver as his instincts battled his mind. He was not delusional, but he believed this would bring positive change to the conflicted pack that he loved so dearly. There were young children and females that needed to be protected. What was war good for other than mindless mass murdering? It was wrong! His lips were sealed as the older man mocked him, but he knew the answer well to that question. He knew that he would die trying to save those he loved and cared about. The yearling loved his Dahlia and what it once had been. It was no longer possible for him to watch his father tear the pack apart. So much was already lost. Perhaps it was too late, but Conor knew he would try to protect what had once been good in his life.

The larger man stalked closer and Conor found his body reacting instantly by maintaining that distance they had by stepping backwards out of the room and back into the hall. The young male felt fear wanting to soak his mind with wool, but kept it at bay and forced his hearth to keep up its stable pace. Haku was wrong. So wrong. ”No. You're no King of Dahlia. Your rule here has come to an end and you have to leave.” Ah, there had been a speech constructed and memorized before this point, but things had not gone according to plan. He did no longer believe that this beast could be reasoned with.

Fear was still not allowed to touch his golden furred form. Conor was not alone. By now he was nearing the open door entrance and just outside waited a handful of those who would no longer allow the deranged man to carry Dahlia’s crown.
