OOC: For Strel and his gayness. Starts outside of Halifax.

------------------------------------------------------------

After months weeks a few days of procrastinating, Cassius finally decided to just go the way to Halifax alone. It seemed really scary, just leaving the packlands. The whole idea of setting out by himself was quite frightening to Cassius. He hadn't left Inferni since he arrived. He kept inside, as if the lands were his own special guardian. A safe haven from anything ever that would do him harm. Merely crossing the borders was a big step for the hybrid. Being such a wimp, compared to all the fierce warriors that Inferni held. He seemed like a child, although he was much older than that. At the moment, he was still in his loft above the garage. He filled his bag with a few provisions for the trip. Although, it wasn't a super long trip. He packed four sandwiches, some other mechanic stuff, and took a second bag for extra stuff he might find interesting. Sighing heavily, Cass looked out the window. It looked as if it would rain. Of course. Cass leaned over and took out his waterproof jacket from the side of the futon. He left with a fear of never returning. Even though he was just going a few miles. He was such a wimp.

Arriving at the borders, Cass sighed again. He stood right inside the border between Inferni and the outside world. It was so weird. He had no qualms about leaving his home much farther away. Now he was afraid of leaving for a few hours. He looked away as his foot crossed the border. Nothing happened (yet) and his stepped down. Well, the world hadn't exploded. He looked at his foot. Yup, it was still there. He proceeded to fully cross the border until he was fully outside of Inferni. Now he was free game for anyone. The thought was quite scary, but he thought about the cool things he would find in Halifax. He smiled, adjusting his jacket and propping his hood on his head. His goggles shined dimly, the sun peeking out slightly.

The trip didn't seem as long as he expected. He kept himself busy thinking happy thoughts. In the happy thoughts, Halo came up. He'd been thinking about her quite a bit since he first met her. It was so weird, how he couldn't get her off his mind. Weird. That word seemed to describe his life at the moment. Everything was different here than it was back in New Orleans. His parents were here to shelter take care of him anymore. Brutus hadn't come as he said he would. The whole concept of being here was out of this world for him. Snapping from his thoughts, he could see the city in the distance. It seemed even more broken down than New Orleans was. Probably since New Orleans was a safe haven for the humans until the Luperci drove them out around ten years back. It was more recently deserted than Halifax obviously was. He smiled, hardly being able to wait until he could get his hands on the new parts he'd been needing.
