Shut Up & Let Me Go [m]

500+ words. WotD: Dishabille (the state of being carelessly or partially dressed).

Her mood was considerably better now that Haven was not being so distant and strange around her. The reason that he had been acting in such a manner still bothered her, but there was nothing she could do about that. All that mattered now was that things were better again and she was no longer worried that he was going to ask her to leave and, as far as she knew, he was not worried anymore that she would leave him. Princess had absolutely no intentions of doing that, and she was glad that he did not think she was going to. It had just been a bad dream, with no bearing on reality. Everything was going to go back to the way it was before and she would not have to fret over him acting strangely again, hopefully. It had been a bit much for the Chance female to deal with the first time, let alone if it were to happen again.

With her brightened mood that day, Princess had once again ventured into the city in hopes of finding something new and pretty to wear. Even though she already had a number of dresses that she considered lovely, she wanted more, especially some in spring colors now that the weather was growing warmer with each passing day. Only a few of her dresses were really spring colors, and most of them she had worn far too many times. Now, she wanted new ones to wear when she worked on integrating herself into the pack, which she had decided would be a good idea. Really, she hardly knew anyone, and that certainly would not do for the girl that had moved in with the pack's Knight and guardian so suddenly. Princess felt that she should begin making attempts at knowing everyone, since she was there to stay. She hoped they would all like her, as she was worried what they would think.

For her findings, it had been a most productive day in the city! Princess had found a number of pretty dresses and had even liked one, a light pink poofy sundress with tiny purple and blue flowers, so much that she had changed into it while still in the city. Of course, she had made sure she was completely alone first, not having wanted anyone to see her in a state of dishabille. She was not particularly humble or modest, but she did not want to let anyone other than Haven see her without clothing. Princess was beautiful as it was, but she believed that the dresses she wore only served to accent this. Aside from a hole for her tail, the dresses did not need any alterations, either, due to her small frame. It was comical, really, the way that Haven dwarfed her, but she thought they made a dashing couple. She could hardly wait to show him her new dresses. Arms laden with new garments and the one she had left in that morning, Princess made her way back home, nearing the pack's territory.
