Shut Up & Let Me Go [m]

Haven saw the light extinguish, felt the last breath seep from those lungs as the body lay on top of him. The Knight was surprisingly calm, but something deep inside stirred at the recognition that he, Haven Aatte, had just taken a life. A dangerous life, yes. A life that had been forfeited the moment the male had stepped foot on these lands and attempted to force himself upon an innocent girl and the love of the pack's protector. It was still a life though, and he had ended it with his own two hands. He wasn't sentimental though. One of them had had to die. They weren't both going to walk away from this. The hybrid stayed still for some moments, transfixed by that one-eyed dead gaze that fell upon him without actually looking. This was a defining moment in his life, and it wasn't something that could simply be shrugged off right away.

After what seemed like hours to him the weight became uncomfortable and with a grunt he shoved the dead enemy aside and sitting up. It was then that the true pain wrought by those teeth and claws reached him. He looked down and his arm was swollen, his blood matting the fur there. His whole chest was stained red, mostly with his own blood but not without an insignificant amount of the other's. Haven took a deep breath, wincing as pain lanced through him and his head became fuzzy. The blood loss was affecting him. He needed help, for he didn't even think he could stand right now. The Aatte wasn't even aware that Princess hadn't obeyed his orders and ran, for all he knew he was sitting here alone with the dead man.
