It all seemed to end so quickly from where she was kneeling. Princess did not even realize at first what had happened, but it was all very clear once the motion ceased. Her eyes widened; she had never actually seen anyone die, unless her infant siblings could be counted, but she could not even remember that much at all. She swallowed, still frozen in place as she attempted to regain her composure that had been lost in the initial attack. Princess did not want to go to Haven yet, because the deceased monster was still there, his dead weight still pressing on the Knight. The girl did not want to be in close proximity of the body, but as soon as Haven pushed it off of him, she was standing on shaking legs. She needed to go to him, to make sure that he was going to be okay. Losing him was not something she could possibly bear.
Truthfully, though, she was very much afraid to go to his side now. Princess was afraid of what she might see, as she knew that her lover had been hurt and it seemed very badly. Even just the knowledge that he had been hurt for her sake pained her immensely. The girl fought against her inner fears, finally moving to kneel beside him, the fact that her dress was barely even present forgotten. "Haven, we need... We need to get you home, and I'll take care of you. You're going to be okay," she willed, though she knew her knowledge of healing was not amazing. It was not terrible, for she had learned it from having been parentless for months when she was so young, and she had bandaged his wounds from a fight when he had come to visit her in Crimson Dreams months prior. Princess would try and, if needed or requested, call for someone more skilled—she just did not know who that would be. All she knew was that Haven was going to be okay. He simply had to be; she could not lose him.
