OOC: I'm soooo sorry for dragging this out J. My inspiration for fight threads has been nonexistent. >.< And this is really, really sucky. Sad *love*

He came at her in a flash of tawny fury. Bris' eyes widened a bit at his speed, but she spared a quick thank-you to whatever powers existed that he dismounted before attacking. The horse was a massive weapon in itself, easily being able to crush someone's skull in one fell kick. One smallish coyote with a weapon was a much more even match-up. Unfortunately for Bris, the male's weapon made all the difference. The Dahlian had never had to defend herself against anything other than claws and fangs, and the male's fluid motion caught her unprepared. Reacting to his attack rather than acting, Bris leapt backward, her arms reaching out for balance and failing to block the incoming swipe. The girl gritted her teeth as a bloody red line was drawn cleanly down across her ribs in the blade's wake, and she belatedly threw up her hands to block the next strike.

Bris' rage began to falter, her mind going into survival mode. Her own voice mixed with those of her brother and sister in absolute condemnation of her stupidity in coming to Inferni's borders, and she winced as the coyote's weapon sank into her defending palms. Blood stained her snowy coat a bright and angry crimson as she suddenly dug her feet into the ground. As the guard came in for another slash at her, the white woman dodged by the skin of her teeth, ducking low and lunging in to take a swipe at the male's torso. It was a sloppy move, at best, and she was aiming more to push him back away from her than to wound him seriously. She had no idea how far the male would chase her when she ran (it was amazing how clear your head could become when you realized just how deep the shit you were in really was), but if she could at least knock him off balance, it would take time for the male to get back to his feet. Bris knew it would only grant her a few extra milliseconds, but any advantage was a good thing.
