A swift wind rolled over the landscape. No trees were planted here to catch the gust and shield them from it. But Anu did not feel its touch. His swift movement blocked the hold that the laying figure tried to confine her in, and the Dreamer instantly felt the security that was never far when in his presence. The wind, the shift in the air and the pressure went unnoticed and Anu watched him greedily. His words were different, his tone seemed to remember her and she came into light before him. It was softer, and though seemingly unnatural to escape his mouth in another’s ears it was the only way Anu thought of him.
She was silent for a moment, simply taking it in. She was always transparent, and in front of the Inferni leader she felt no different and even more stripped and open for him to see. I’m still learning how not to worry over you. She responded, a small smile flickering to life upon her face. There was a sudden urge to embrace him, to know that he was real and not the same sort of thing that lay beyond his form that moved and haunted her so easily. But she was frozen in place. What happened here? she asked, not caring how long or detailed the answer would be. Anything, she would be easily satisfied now. Unlike before, she would believe everything he told her.
