The broken clock is a comfort

Unaware of Mati's eyes watching her hand's every movement, Ghita's focus extended to the point that she forgot about her leg, forgot about Mati watching her, and forgot about the nagging worry that she might never be able to walk properly again. For now, all that remained were the lines on the page that seemed to grow before her turquoise orbs, spreading in definition and clarity.

Finally looking up once more, she turned to her drawing mentor, seeking approval from the much more skilled fae in hopes to gain some insight, a new skill for her to master. Blinking as Mati moved her hand around the page, her eyes narrowed in concentration, trying to visualize just what Mati was getting at. Soaking in the feeling of how her hand moved and the visuals of how the box looked now, the older fae briefly wondered if changing the angle of the lines would affect anything if she couldn't get it perfectly the first time.

Enlightenment spread across Ghita's face, causing her pierced ears to flick in amazement. "It looks like some boxes we have around here.." she murmured, as if a child learning about the world for the first time. Previously she didn't know the first thing about drawing, but now her eye was already seeking out the lines around the manor, exploring the world through a lens she'd never previously imagined.

Nodding, the fae expressed her appreciation towards Mati's sketch, chewing on her bottom lip slightly. "Si, I can see it." Excitement had lingered at the corners of her tone for a while, creeping in just towards the end as she heard the praise from the girl grace her ears. Flicking them once more in modesty, she gave a soft smile to the girl, the depths of what learning this simple skill meant to her flickering in her eyes. "You think so? Thank you."
