Mind drifted slightly as the boy offered him some lousy information that he had no use for whatsoever. Though, regarding the part about his golden son, Haku was slightly surprised, but said nothing. It was not truly unnatural that his son was the one to take over the leadership, but he had expected an elder to step up. The dark minded male had of course pondered who had been the one to force his departure, and even if Conor had been the most prominent character in that plot, the loner had always believed there was someone hiding in the shadows, practising puppeteer skills. Had it been the weak, purple eyed male all along? The thought puzzled him, though it was truthfully what most would have discovered already. It was just that.. as a child, Conor had been useless in every way he could think of. Bad blood had led to a bad litter and he had paid them little attention after Alexey decided to take them under her wing. Perhaps he had misjudged the young male.

The boy was not angry, and that was that. He did not speak much, but that was no obstacle in any way. Haku was not particularly known for being too social either. He remembered the foolish woman and her need to draw a reaction out of him. He wondered why he had not taken her life. She had judged him and believed that he would choke on his loneliness, but Haku Soul was not a man that could crumble to such feeble things. Loneliness was him, and he would always be alone here in this world. It was greed that kept him here, because the old gods and demons seemed to have fled. There were few of those pure and ancient essences here. Fangs crunched together as the loner pushed on the speed and broke into a light trot. The scent was so delicious—greeted the madman with the nostalgic scent that promised him the only type of drink that could temporarily quench his unbearable thirst.

The male had taken a wide range of risks here, but none had crossed the trail brought by the breeze and the unconscious canine was still on the soft floor where the chocolate coated male had left him. This had happened today. It had been the first sign. Things were moving above their heads and fate had wanted this male to cross his path and King to answer his soundless call. Death had not yet silenced that beating heart, but it would soon. Aside from deliciously shattered limbs and a heavy blow to the head, the body was not ruined beyond saving. Yet. Yet. Yet. Yet. Yet. There was blood and its exhilarating fragrance. Electric blue orbs moved to the young boy, and the man’s hulking secui form was ready for every reaction the boy could come up with.
