Night engulfed the sky and the great moon shone her magnificence from center-stage, blotting out the pitiful stars that failed miserably, try as they might, at matching her radiance, and burning back the wisps of clouds that dare obstruct her view. The moon’s splendor reflected deep within a pair of slanted, almond-shaped eyes that reverentially gazed upon her, envied her for her leisurely walk among the heavens while she herself was hereupon the physical plain. Jealousy could be an ugly thing, especially when spitefully secreted away in a goddess’s heart, but Sepirah would not deny to herself how she felt. Quickly, though, the sensation washed away as she reminded herself of her purpose. She had a duty here, and had chosen this life and this body as her tool, and this purpose reminded her of her swelling sense of pride.

Lifting her head up high, she nodded respectfully to the great deity she looked upon, and then broke her stare for more pressing matters. This body was still young and in spite of herself she was unable to fully overcome the immaturity of its mind as well, and as such could not continue to survive in this foreign place alone. She knew of her lineage and of the proud, red blood that had borne this body, and she knew that if the fates would have her in this land, to her stalwart ancestors she would go. With her father incapacitated by psychosis, her mother doting on his every need determined to nurse him back to health, and her wayward siblings divided, now roaming this new land each separate and alone, she had but one place to go to, one Soul to seek; the living mother of this bloodline, Kaena Lykoi.

It troubled her endlessly that her siblings had separated. Together, they were a small clan of gods, and she believed that they could only realize their full power when banded together. They had been birthed together, to this royal bloodline, and on the night of the full moon for a purpose - a fact that they could not disregard, and their kinship should not be disrupted. Certainly as they aged each child began to form their own agenda, some which may pitch them apart in the future, but she only saw this as a tribulation that was the result of these bodies, and one that, as gods, they would overcome. Or perhaps this was their trial, only come earlier than she had expected? No matter, they would be rejoined again soon; she could feel it coursing in her blood.

Steeling herself, she brought her thoughts back to the present. She fast approached her destination and it would do well to be wary now, for these were the distinctive borders of the Inferni territory. Her eyes scanned the incredible markers; stanchions of macabre décor forewarned the unsought trespasser, punishment and death awaited the adversary who crossed these lines uninvited. It was here her four paws stopped, comprehending the strict caveat these beacons bespoke. One last survey of her surroundings proffered no shadows of silent sentinels, so she tipped her head back and yipped her presence. Despite her gravity, her voice was youthful and told of her young age.

As she awaited a greeting, she shrugged off the small shoulder-pack fashioned from camel skin, designed to be donned in her quadruped form and easily shouldered in Optime. Something slithered around her forepaws as she nosed at the flap, but she knew full well what it was and only regarded it long enough to give it a threatening glare, wordlessly warning the viper to keep its venomous little nose back and not cause alarm. Opening the satchel, she retrieved the offering she had stored within, and turned her attention back to the borders, eyes scanning the shadows of dusk as she eagerly awaited discovery, hoping that the night would deliver her the Soul she sought.
