She hadn't thought that such a deep measure of understanding could come in such a short span of time, but it had. It also seemed like her life, the thing that had always seemed so scattered and insignificant was finally coming together. Like the wayward pieces of the puzzle were slipping into place, one by one. The first had been her desire to learn how to heal and then becoming the pack's Practitioner. Now, she had Mati, and everything seemed more stable and important. She felt more stable and important. Cambi thought that this must have been what her father had found in her mother. It just had to be.
