let the rain fall down

Halcyon mountain. Open for anyone!

Rain. Again. But rain was what brought life to the earth and changed all the death and brown decay of winter into the blossoming rich pastels and vibrant greens of spring. The densely forested Southern side of Halcyon offered some protection overhead, as the water had been partially blockaded from sprinkling down below by the canopy of leaves. Beneath the treetops, flora and fauna alike took in the moisture for sustenance, feeling alive as it rained down upon them. Amongst the array of green sat a young coyote - alone but not distressed. Her form was folded under the broad leaves of an oak as her soft humming was lost in the droning patter of the rainfall. Once it passed, she would be on foot again, looking for her siblings whose departures had preceded hers. For now, the young girl was perfectly content where she was, living and breathing in the nature all around that Mother Earth had provided.

The belongings she carried had been set aside, leaning against the trunk of the tree in hopes it would provide optimal protection from the rain. A guitar leaned into the rough bark, accompanied by a tawny knapsack which seemed to be almost busting with possessions. The only other thing the girl carried was a tattered purple tapestry, which she had draped across her shoulders much like a blanket. Of course, the usual accessories adorned her hands and hair, though there were sure to be more packed away amongst the girl’s things. Though it was obvious Clover was not from here, somehow the girl seemed perfectly expected sitting amongst the tall trees of Halcyon.
