Her name was Bris. He thought that her name was very pretty, and now he could stop calling her "ghost-lady" in his head. "Hope we finds Daddy!! Need to see 'im, he can hewwp me! He can find bruvers and sissy" Shiloh was who he was the most worried about. She was the only one who could calm him down sometimes when he got angry or frustrated. "Hopin' he wives here. 'An Bris is a goooood name!"
Gideon looked around again. This place looked very different from home. She said that she was a part of the pack that lived here, though, so he would follow her into the territory so that he could meet his daddy. She howled for some reason that he didn't really understand, then picked up her things. He was so, so hungry...and his paws needed a good rest. Also, there was still the stink problem...he was still stinky from going around the coyote territory. And he would need a nice warm bath to get rid of all the red water that had stained him all up. Hopefully daddy would be there to take care of him like Mama had said he would.
He nodded real quick when she asked if he was hungry. He hadn't even realized how really hungry he was until she'd said that! He had been very focused on getting away from Mean Grandma and on finding Saul and Shiloh that he hadn't even thought about how empty his belly was. It made a gurgly sound as he put his head down, padding quickly along behind the white wolf. His wounds did hurt quite a bit as well, but the constant movement from the running had kept him from feeling much of it. He had been using all of those muscles and had been full of adrenaline, which had prevented him from feeling much of what was beginning to set in now. He didn't whine or complain, simply following quietly behind his new friend Bris.
