why dont we wrap this one up, have another sometime soon?

Anu had kept her secrets. She had held Gabriel close to her and she knew not why. There was no need to protect him, and yet the female didn’t know how to share him with those closest to her. It had been so beyond her nature that the female would certainly surprise anyone that might know of it. But then, there was no hiding the truth, it showed itself now and would when they were born. Anu would forever remember, and those around her would wonder until their curiosity was driven in another direction. Maybe she waited for that moment, maybe she wanted to be the only one to see their sire in their features, to be the only one to know that their father was a warrior, one made of fire when she taught them the calm of water and the peace of her ancient trees.

The pack would accept it, just as they accept all that sought protection and refuge under their banner. Anu had given so many the chance to start new, had given so many a place to live without fear and now she would take hers. The fey had thought that bringing Colibri to these lands stressed the walls of their protective fortress, but Anu had been wrong. That had been nothing but trivial compared to what she faced now. She had been wrong to place her heart into the hands of an outsider, and it was time to give her trust and place her faith in those that had never let her down.

The world was changing, and Anu did not know in which direction it was headed. In the past it had been unimportant to know the speech of pages, to know the things that humans had left behind. The world was simpler then, it was waking to the sun and falling to the moon. It was breathing, feeding, sharing the company of another and living in those heartwarming moments. This was not the world that Anu knew now and if there was to be another more complex world for her pups to live in she could not shield them from it. They would need this knowledge, need every advantage.

With his acceptance Anu gave a gracious smile. Thank you, I don’t want them to go without because I don’t know how. The female spoke softly.
