It was strange, being so deep in the Inferni territory. She had only been on the outskirts, and the lands held something strangely beautiful. Bright purple orbs took it in, the waves of green and gold grass, contrasting with the only other thing that could be seen in the landscape; the sky. It was no different then what hung over Crimson Dreams, but the lack of distractions between the brown wolfess and the massive atmosphere made her glace up at it often, seeing the new colors that had been missed before. Clouds, full of rain and storm watched over them ominously, and Mati peeked up meekly.
They walked side by side, small conversation passing between them and the Church fey wore a smile at the pleasant things he always seemed to speak to her. It was not hard for them to banter back and forth, ideas for the painting that she was to create bouncing back and forth. Still, they would need to brain storm, but Mati was confident that a composition could be arranged. She had a bucket of supplies, basic things for the first sketch and outline and a bag for her brushes. As the gentle canine he was, Silas had offered to carry the bucket of paints and Mati slung the canvas bag over her shoulder.
In the moments of silence she thought of Silas' leader, and of her mother. She wondered if she would see him, in their passing but they had yet to come into contact with any other Inferni member. It was better, Mati believed, knowing that it was a bit dangerous to be venturing into lands that she had always know to be hostile. But, she felt nothing but a pleasant excitement to be asked to paint another mural. I brought lots of blue, in case you wanted something like an ocean scene. Mati piped up through the quiet, a soft smile on her face. She knew the male was from across the sea, and thought he might like it incorporated.
