Gray Lines on a Wall

Mati followed, happier that she was behind Silas. She couldn’t help but a little scared, it was dark inside and her confidence in the strange territory was not as solid as she would be in the friendly lands like Cours, and of course her own. Still Silas assured her with his calm presence that everything would be fine. She was a guest. And just as he was in her own lands she would be protected under his hospitality.

Up the stairs, through the nearest door, and they were inside. He held the door for her, and his glance towards a neighboring room was gone unnoticed by the Dreamer. Her thoughts were far from the her Crimson homelands, but her sweet lover was never completely gone from her mind. If she had seen his glance, Mati would likely recognize the longing and wonder in his blue gaze. The art was a distraction, and Mati became clearly confident as she stepped into the room.

It was notably Silas, his scent the dormant and primary in the closed space. Her eyes roamed the walls, noticing the large and small things that furnished his space. She felt that what was used to adorn or filled one’s space it spoke a lot about a creature. He pointed out the wall that he had in mind and the Dreamer stepped up to it to inspect it. Her brown hand roamed the surface, there were some nicks and bumps, but no cracks that needed to be filled or worked around. She gave a nod, her creative insides buzzing, This should be fine. She spoke, moving right to the canvas bag that she had brought with her. Picking up a small tin she opened it to reveal the fragile sticks of chalk, pencils and matches that were meant to be kept safe and out of destructive dampness.

Stepping away the fey allowed her eyes to wash over the entire wall. So, I can try to sketch out what I had in mind and then if you like it, I’ll keep going. She held the white chalk gently, and then had a second thought, her eyes look from ceiling to floor. Would you mind, lighting theses. She asked, pointing to the tin and then taking out the candles that she had brought. It was just in case, and Mati liked to be prepared.
