When she turned, copper curtain of hair swaying in a fury, Silas was met with a red glare that could have pierced steel. His own features pulled into confusion, icy eyes unsure as they studied the princess’ face. There was a moment’s silence that followed and in the distance was the vague sound of movement coming from Silas’ bedroom. Halo opened her mouth to speak, two words stumbling out before she was cut off by the voice of another. Silas turned his head, eyes falling onto his Crimson Dreams friend. She, of course, was just as confused as Silas was. He was going to offer her some words, but he was unsure of what to say. Either way, Halo’s movement brought his gaze back to her and Silas spied her hand reaching for the handle of her blade.
"Halo," his voice was stern, mystified and warning all in one. He grabbed her then, pulling her towards him so that she wouldn’t be able to pull away or carry out any crazy thoughts running through her head. He couldn’t understand what she was so upset about, but he was going to get to the bottom of this. With Halo clutched close to him, she had no chose but look at him. If her eyes strayed away from his own to focus elsewhere, there was no doubt the boy would turn her chin and force her to redirect her gaze. "You zhought vhat? Vhat’s vrong?" He wanted some sort of explanation and wouldn’t release her until he got it.
