It was comforting to hear Mati back up his words and Silas could feel the relief flooding his veins. Though of course there was still a strange tension in the air, perhaps residual from what had just happened, Silas was confident that things would be back to normal as soon as the day was through. And truthfully, Silas was glad that the Inferni princess had come to disrupt their painting. Though the two Infernians didn’t live far from one another, it didn’t seem often that Silas crossed paths with Halo. Usually the young Russian was only lucky enough to catch her form trailing into her room or down the stairs, left with nothing more than her lingering scent. He had been surprised to see her at his bedroom door, but his heart had started racing not because of the apparent danger Mati had seemingly been thrown into, but because those ruby eyes made him weak.

Both woman offered more words and Silas let his pale gaze travel from Halo to Mati who stood just behind him. He wasn’t sure just how to continue; should he and Mati retreat to do their painting, should Silas invite Halo back to watch or to help, should he ask for a moment alone with Halo to talk about things? All of these thoughts tumbled through his head and the Praeses couldn’t be sure what the best option was. Maybe Halo wanted to flee to her room now that Silas wasn’t holding her back, and though he didn’t want to see that, he could understand. But before the boy could make up his mind on what to do, something occurred to him about Mati’s words. He turned to her then, eyes finding the calming lavender gaze of hers, and a smile found his features. "Oh, who ees zhis lucky girl?" Maybe he could generate some light hearted banter, emphasizing the point that there was nothing between him and Mati.
