She didn’t look at the other female again, for some reason Mati couldn’t. Quickly she made her way back to Silas’ room and went right to packing her things. She would leave the large can of paint, since she had no real use for it other then his mural. She’d come back to finish it. At least it was what she told herself, to prove that she was not shaken at all by the appearance of the Inferni woman and her sword. She wondered what it would have been like if he had come to her home. There wouldn’t have been any swords; she knew that for sure. His voice cut through any runaway thoughts and she looked up to give a weak smile. Its okay, its getting late. It’ll be dark by the time I get home. She didn’t mind leaving, not after all of that. Of course she wished that she had done more for him, but it was better that she left before anyone else caught her here.
I’d appreciate that. One hand put her brushes in one of her bag while another took the candle off the dresser so that she blow it out and place it beside the others. It did not take her as long as she thought it would to gather her things and make her way out of his room once again, eyes glancing down the hall towards the female’s room, glad was she didn’t find her lingering. Mati felt a bit foolish for making such a haste exit now that everything was gathered and hanging from her shoulders, but she knew that she would feel better when she was home.
