Silas never seemed to loose his even temper, even back in the mansion. Mati could see the confusion and perhaps bits of sadness in his face, but there was no evidence that his feelings had been as jostled as Mati’s or the coy-woman’s. Even as they moved along the path and away from his home he owned the same gentlemanliness that he did when bringing her towards it. His positive attitude was enlightening, his hope comforting. He did not blame her for the reason that the mural would go undone, even though Mati was the one that could not bear another moment inside the house. Definitely.
