Gray Lines on a Wall

As he listened to Mati’s words, a soft smile found his features. He could imagine the confusion she had felt, though it was obviously nowhere near the same as the confusion Silas felt with Halo. Though the feelings were in the same realm of love, they were far from one another. Even though his own standings in the world of love and relationships were rocky and unknown, he found comfort in hearing of Mati’s success. Maybe in time things would fall into place for him as well.

They were rounding closer to the clan’s borders now and soon it would be time for them to part ways. Silas was unsure whether or not he’d go back to the mansion, still confused about the whole situation. Would Halo still be there, or had she snuck away somewhere else within Inferni’s borders? Silas wasn’t sure whether or not he wanted to find her. "Vell, I am glad to hear zhat you have found yourself someone to be vith. Tell zhis Cambria I say hello." He offered Mati a more broadened smile, hoping it would not only serve as a visual that he had been grateful for her visit, but also as an apology to what had played out. He hoped this wasn’t the last time he’d see her here, for he greatly hoped to see the mural finished one day.
