There was little evidence during daytime that Conor experienced trouble sleeping. Well, not exactly trouble. He woke up sometimes in the middle of the nights, and things had changed. Perhaps he was sleepwalking or something, but no one had ever seen him wander around during the dark hours without his conscience, so it was hard to say. Normally, Conor had his bedroom in the attic, but sleep had refused to arrive, and so he had settled downstairs in a cough, attempting to read some dry psychology to put his mind at ease. Sensitive ears always sought for sounds in the large house. Sometimes a puppy could wake up crying and in need of comfort, but there was little need for it nowadays. Bris and Vark helped him as best they could, and Mew’s children seemed to have overcome the little period where they could wake up, upset and with tears flooding from an unknown horror.

There was someone else here that suffered. Most of them did in various ways, and all of them dealt with it differently. He was specifically aware of the newest member of the pack though—the Oriel male. The golden hued male had thought about the Elliot that had lived together with Kol for a few short months, but no matter how deep he tried to dig to find more details he failed. It was a fact that he had not known Elliot at all. Had they ever even exchanged a single word? Conor had been a young child back then, but he wished he could have known Elliot so that he better could support the one left behind when death had come for the Oriel male. There was nothing that could be done though—death was eternal and the only way to move on was for the grieving individuals to move on. It was extremely hard, and few managed to get past such devastating experiences on their own.

Sounds tickled the Soul male’s sensitive audits and he shut the thick book silently and got up. Nightmares? He got up and started moving, ending up outside the Oriel male’s door. Ears leaned back against his cinnamon locks—Conor usually did his best to mind his own business, but he knew that the canine on the other side of the door was unable to sleep. A fist lifted to the dry wooden blockage and he tapped on it gently. Worst case scenario was that he was told to fuck off and leave the male alone, and if so then that was just what Conor would do. If Eilu wanted company, this was something Conor could offer. Loneliness could be important as well, but the lavender eyed male did not want to be a passive bystander if it was possible to play a better role.
