here's where things start getting weird

Sorry for the delay, my dahling! ♥ 300+ words. WotD: Fathom.

The Monroe woman had found herself outside of Dahlia de Mai's borders today, though that was hardly unusual for the creamy woman. The odd part about where she had come to was that it was not the house she'd claimed in the city. In fact, it was not the city at all. Lolita had left the pack's territory, her faded bag worn by her side, and meandered among the trees for a bit before deciding that the ground was very far from interesting. The bag was latched, so she thought nothing of it as she deftly pulled herself into a tree, moving further up so that she was perched on a branch at least six up from the bottom branch. She stuck the bag between a few branches, making sure it was not going to fall, before she leaned back against the thick trunk of the tree, emerald eyes drifting closed as she relaxed.

The scent of another reached her, jade eyes opening in response. She looked down, surprised to see the strange male leaning against the tree that she had perched herself high up in. Fiery hair fell across her face as she peered down, which she brushed away irritably. The man was one she had never seen before, but the scent was very similar to Liliana's. It seemed more than likely that he was also a member of the AniWayan tribe, and he also seemed much less fearful than Liliana. "Hey there," she called down, fighting away the faded edges of the bad mood she had been slipping into and out of for weeks now, perhaps even months. It was always there, clouding the back of her mind. It was hard to escape, but for the moment, she had found a way to evade its clutches. She could not even begin to fathom how, but she was going to take it for all that it was worth.
