this beats writing a physics lab report Big Grin

Back home, there were not that many parties to attend to. There were a few throughout the year, but nothing this of this kind. They were all sit down affairs by a fire and reading books to whatever children happened to be around at that time of year. Those were family parties with larger amounts of food and time spent with one another more than anything else. What was he supposed to call this shindig? It was kind of like a ball, what with the way they were dressed. The women seemed to have fancier dresses than those the Russo saw usually. Plus, they were not appropriate for the action people go into here. Anatoliy doubted he would ever see any of these people in the same clothes again. No way was he going to get caught dressed like this again.

Anann directed the falconer to the court's tailor, making the Russo grin as his golden eyes shot toward the redhead. He was being loud, as always, it seemed, hitting on some poor guy. Oh, that guy. He was going to find a fist in his face one day, sooner or later, if nothing else. Anatoliy had been hit on, sure, but he was not about to hit the guy for being himself, even if it made the Russo quite uncomfortable. When guys hit on him, joking or not, it made him very unnerved. Did he give off some kind of vibe or something, to alert them that he would not hurt them. As long as they did not stick their hands on him, he was okay with their verbal... intentions.

Clearly the woman did not know what to say. Maybe she did not expect him to show up? He would not have expected her to show up, either to be honest. She did not seem like the party going type. But she did look nice for the occasion. The Russo wondered if the Lady-in-Waiting had a hand in it or not. It did not look like his handiwork, from what he could tell. It was either human made or something she got back in her homeland. "You look..," he paused, fumbling for the words like an oaf. "Pretty." There was nothing else he could say about her appearance without sounding like a freak. Or just awkward. "I did not zhink you vould come here."
