Daddy smiled when he closed the book, his face telling Parker he too had enjoyed the story, long before he asked her about her opinion. When he did ask for her opinion, he stroked her forehead leading her to close her eyes and just enjoy his touch for a moment. Then, when that was done he asked another question. She would just answer them both at once. So, with her usual, happy smile on her face, the cinnamon toned pup nodded her head gently in the affirmative. The story had been wonderful, with a good moral buried in its whimsical words. Never knock it until you try it, a classic lesson for all children, both the human children who read the story ages ago or luperci pups listening to their father's read it to them. That was the thing with morals. They seemed to stand the test of time, not even locked in the pages of a children's book but existing in the world. They were the lessons taught to children to help them grow up into good, healthy adults. The fact that many of these morals were taught in story form, made them all the easier for parents to teach.
Green Eggs and Ham was done, and now all that was left was to spend time with her Daddy. Parker had been looking for someone to be with, and now that she was with him she did not want to leave. She loved her daddy, and she was going to spend whatever time was left in this stormy day with him, as a daughter should.
