The Waste, somewhere right outside Inferni.

The water was freezing, stealing the breath from both lungs and making it impossible for them to find more. It rocked her thin frame back towards the shore, as if wanting to expel the foreign object amongst its waves. Clover fought though, trying to catch her breath and let her body adjust to the temperature so that her muscles could function to keep her afloat. Nothing more than blackened ears and a roan red mask was visible from shore as she swung both arms and legs to fight against the water. And then, there was calm. No more fighting. The small coyote buoy had disappeared under the turning waves.

Though it was now June, the Bay of Fundy was still rather cold. The sun hadn’t been out long enough to warm the water filtering in from the Atlantic Ocean. Still, that wasn’t to say that a few brave souls hadn’t tested out the waters just yet. Sea lions even dotted the various rocky outcroppings alone some stretches of the coast. And then, of course, there was the lone coyote. Her possessions strewn on the shore like some old skeleton to divulge her distant presence to those that happened across it. The purple tapestry was spread like a beach towel, the pearly guitar resting upon it amongst the pile of littered clothing and jewelry and a jar had held her most precious drugs. The coyote girl herself, however, had seemingly vanished into the ocean.
