It was odd, being in the Crimson Dream's territory. Already it felt like a fresh morning, that morning you are just happy to wake up and see the whole day ahead of you. Who knew a change of scenery and a new pack could do so much for a wolf? This whole land had a different feel to him. He didn't feel... on edge. Here he was still wary and kept his eyes opened while wondering around... but not quite like before. He wasn't relaxed, but he wasn't on solid guard either.
Caedres slowed his roll in the middle of an empty field covered with wildflowers and tall grass. He could see a good distance from atop the small knoll he was on, and decided it was a perfect place to just sit and think for a moment. His gray fur blew in the wind, rippling like angry thunderheads. His eyes were on the constant move, focusing on anything that moved in the wind or on its own as his mind wandered. His tongue hung out of his jaws as if it wanted to enjoy the wind and sweet scent of the land as well. It was something he could really get used to. It was a wonderful feeling, to be able to relax slightly and not worry about anything for a few precious moments. His tail wagged slightly as he swung around, gray eyes drinking in all of the sights around him. Crimson Dreams. Such a name! He'd have to ask for the history of it later. The whole world seemed brighter here to him... which made him wonder what exactly made his previous situation so bad. It wasn't like he hated where he had been or who he had been with. It had been more of a 'you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours' situation than an actual pack... and the life hard... but he was used to that kind of living. He let out a deep breath and just sat down on the soft grass. What a beautiful day.
