Every movement she made was a fine delicacy; it was something to be savoured and then devoured while enjoying every bite. Her movements seemed slow, as if the fear had bred itself thick in her bones and was now wreaking havoc on her marrow. Soon, the ligaments and muscle tissue would rot away and only decorations for Inferni’s borders would be left. He could mount her skull on a stick and tie her bones onto other sticks nearby.

The fear quickly crept into her eyes as she evaluated her options. She glanced around, trying to find an exit, but realized that there was none. Nonetheless, she began to back up, and then spoke, too. Hybrid cackled, amused at her questioning. She concluded her question with a swipe of her paw, which came far too quickly for Hybrid to anticipate. He felt her claws take some fur and flesh off the edge of his muzzle and frowned slightly. The shock was worse than the pain, since the girl had been backing up when she “attacked.” Moreover, he suspected the fear had made her appendages go rubbery, as if she really was losing all of her muscle. What a funny thought! He chuckled quietly to himself.

“Oh, but pretty little girl, what gorgeous eyes you have,” he gurgled, chortling wickedly. But then, she took off. Hybrid snarled and ran after her, letting his long, spindly legs carry him in pursuit of the wicked white ghost. Fear made her run quickly, so Hybrid had to ensure that he used his Secui form to his advantage and chased her down while she was still outside of Dahlian bounds.
