OOC: Feel free to pp a bit if you need to! XD

There were some things one's optime form was quite useful for. Jewelry making, writing, reading, crafting things, even fighting were all made easier by the advantage of an opposable thumb. Fleeing, however, was severely hindered. Two legs carrying a much larger body were significantly slower than four legs carrying the lighter form of a normal wolf. Bris' upright form was further snagged by the sand she was running in; her large footpaws sinking into holes as she pumped her legs as fast as she possibly could. The girl's arms were not long enough in this form to enable her to run in an awkward four-legged attempt either, and she silently cursed her current circumstances. Her pursuer, however, was in the half-form between wolf and upright, and it gave him an advantage. Bris knew he was faster than she was like this, but if she stopped to shift, he'd catch her in an instant. There was no time, and the male's twisted red eyes sent a sliver of terror down the girl's spine that spurred her feet a little faster as she glanced back over her shoulder.

There wasn't a doubt in Bris' mind that the Infernian's aim was to kill her. After all, she'd been the one to attempt a rescue of her sister that fateful day on the beach. It had been unsuccessful, but Kol's last breath had been taken after her killer had retreated. He may not know he'd succeeding in taking the life from his prey that day, and could very well blame Bris for losing the glory of the kill. It was the only logical reason in Bris' mind that he would seemingly seek her out. But she couldn't die, not now, not when she had her brother's children to take care of and a home within the borders of Dahlia that meant the world to her. Adrenaline coursed throught the girl's veins as she fled, trying desperately to gain any sort of lead on the male behind her. Her lungs burned as she once again glanced behind her, only to see that the mangy half-beast was gaining. Bris was not a coward, but the terror the beast forced into her heart was like nothing she'd ever felt before, and only one thought rang through the snowy woman's head as she ran with all her might. Any moment he would be on her, and her mind's silent scream of denial was deafening. She could even waste the breath it would take to howl for help. She couldn't slow down, not now, not ever.
