She knew she should feel tired. Her legs ached and her muscles were still tense, but still she jumped when the male cleared his throat. The female looked over to see the wolf who had skittered her prey standing with his eyes aglow. Her face softened as he complimented her catch with a pleased nod. A smile then bloomed lightly across her face and she stood, stretching her legs. Feel free to join me, I could not eat all of this myself. This is what the silver furred wolf had assumed the male had followed her for. Her brow furrowed as she realized the words had escaped her lips strained and heavy unlike her usual gentle chimed voice.

The grass around the dead doe was flooded with blood and the slight breeze carried the scent into the forest. It was not a beautiful sight on the clear day. The deer's bellow still lingered in the girl's head as she looked over at the male expectantly. Her colorless eyes took in his form. He didn't look like most of the wolves she had seen around but the female registered his coyote blood. His aura was unfamiliar but she could scent the sweet fragrance of Miracles pack and instantly Ever felt more comfortable. She noticed he didn’t seem to be much older than she was, though he carried himself as an adult. His fur was a beautiful rich brown and black and his slim frame matched her own.

The ocean bellow the ledge the creatures stood on lapped up the side of the wall, spraying foam into the air. Humidity was setting in for the first time in months and rays of sun were shining into the forest, although the shaded grass was still wet from the morning’s rain. Ever swished her tail when a pleasant wind with the absent smell of rain washed across her muzzle.
