The chocolate furred crow wandered soundlessly through the crumbling city of Halifax. Evening bloomed slowly with its dark horizon and the beast’s day began. He stalked the abandoned streets lined with the dead bars and nightclubs. There were fire liquid in most of these locations still, but the man had no thirst for pointless substances. There existed only one thing, and that was what drove this demonic creature on and on, and that was for the blood. The crimson life sang sweetly to him, and he was unable to resist its siren song. Another creature had passed through her very recently, and he reeled towards it, slowly walking in the Aniwayan’s cooling footsteps.
He was led into the darkening room of what probably once had been a night club. Now it was nothing more than a room that would never again see the life it had been designed to witness. Tonight, it would witness death. The Soul man’s hulking form hesitated just beyond the open doorway, sniffing at the quiet presence of a living. A sound—faint as anything, yet still sound—was heard from the depths of the structure, and the madman lifted his gaze just in time to see a darker form moving in the shadows, towards him. It was a woman. Though he once had known her, he did not any longer.
She was a victim and nothing more. Her luperci form held those delicious curves, and for now and a few moments more, he merely watched her, curious to see her reaction to his presence.
