Do you want to look at wrapping this up soon-ish?

If she stopped to give it some thought, Anu and Ghita had had similar first pregnancies. While Ghita formerly had Carlo to help her through it, he was as clueless as she was, and it took another pack member to notify her of her condition. She couldn't be sure, but she thought Savina had done the same for Anu. And it was a staple for any wolf's first pregnancy to be surrounded by worry about a miscarriage, only the worry had brought different results for both faes. As well, both pregnancies had been accidents; Happy, welcome accidents, but accidents all the same.

Gracing her companion with a lopsided grin, Ghita gave a small laugh, staring at the puppies that now romped around the lawn just beyond the talking mothers. Her ears betrayed her nonchalant air, however, as they drooped a little bit at the tips. "How do you do it, Anu? How do you keep so much faith in your heart?" Only one of the many reasons she admired the fae, it was her belief that everything would work out that stood out most for Ghita right now. While the younger fae floundered in uncertainty and worry, Anu seemed to be calm as a rock. "I envy you for it."

Ghita's reaction was only a few milliseconds behind Anu's. Trained to react to any suspicious noises as a huntress, it was the timber fae's maternal instincts that now propelled her, turquoise optics trained on the scuffling puppies. Her immediate reaction was to stand and join Anu, but her leg was stiff in reaction, the fae tumbling from the half-foot she had managed to rise to back onto the porch. Scowling, she barely kept her tongue from unleashing a litany of Italian swears for the pups' sakes, and sighed, watching Anu tend to her puppies quite skillfully all on her own.

Blinking at her sudden much smaller companion, Ghita's shamed and angered mood quickly disappeared at Alder's simple gaze, his endless blue eyes staring into hers and moving to sit beside her. Gently, almost as if she was holding a butterfly, she held out her ivory-tipped fingers for Alder to sniff, before scratching the boy behind his ear in her own pups' favourite place. "Scuffling not your style, eh, Alder?"
