What's in the Fog?

Short is fine. ^-^

Silence hung about the eerie graveyard now, their game taken to the next level. It was spot or be spotted, and the sandy-furred girl certainly didn’t wish to be the one being found. But her playmate had finally clued in on the nature of this silly little game and wasn’t about to make it easy on her. He had finally stopped calling out through the foggy air and had apparently taken to stealthily drifting through the graveyard, as she hadn’t discovered any sign of him since her quick getaway. A sudden ‘thump’ off to the left had her freezing in place, ears perked and alert, eyes scanning the area in a startled frenzy. Had he slipped up again? Or was he taking a page from her own book with distractions? She started to step forward toward the noise, but found herself pausing.

Certainly he was trying to lure her out, and Lucia wasn’t about to let herself fall for such a trick. But the risk of venturing out toward him would be all the more fun, and the allure of it was hard to resist. Besides, Domonick had to be somewhere over there as well, and the only way she was going to find him first was to go over there. She would just have to be extra careful, then. She slipped forward, still crouching low near the headstones and trying to remain as quiet as possible. Before long, she could make out the looming figure of a mausoleum through the fog. She scanned the area with jade eyes, finding no trace of her pack mate or whatever it was that had made the noise. He had to be around here somewhere, though. She switched the old bone from one hand to another and began to approach the old mausoleum from the side, eyes and ears ever vigilant for any sign of the Praeas.
