Moonfyre padded quickly through the night. The satchel that hung around his neck and shoulder bumped with the rhythm of his gate. It wasn’t heavy but it had enough weight to be bumping with him. Inside it were two favored objects: a green blanket that needed to be washed and a book of human history. His third prized possession was around his neck: a thick silver chain with a moon shaped gemstone hanging from it. He was heading toward the village to put his things away when he looked up and saw another walking the same way. He had never seen this she wolf before and on top of that, she looked new. And smelled new. He figured why not give her a welcome. She looked unsure of the place.
He began to pad toward her but keeping his distance as well and still going toward the village. He looked over at her and flashed a wolfy smile. When he made sure she was seemingly friendly, ‘cause you never know these days, he padded closer. Now they walked in sync and he spoke to her.
Hi. I’m Moonfyre NecroFang. Moonfyre’s fine though. Are you new?
The tone in his voice was friendly but mysterious as it always is. He wanted to know more about this femme next to him. She seemed cool.
