Sorry, fighting being sick and a non-existant muse
The little twerp had done his best to shake him but Saluce wasn’t trying very hard. His change in direction wasn’t unexpected but it did take him a little by surprise as his much heavier frame struggled to return the change as quickly as his prey. Then again he was on the little ones tail yet again. He kept pace until Gideon slipped underneath the roots of a tree, obviously he was too big to follow so the wolf walked around the enclosure.
Eyes looking across the ground as his ears swiveled listening for the hidden quarry. This time he would outsmart the kid. With a loud laugh he feigned defeat.
“You win this round Gideon” he said loudly before his form slinked off a few feet away, hiding most of his body behind the tree he was taking refuge behind. Eyes though kept watch over the hole and surrounding foliage, looking for the recently brave wolf to emerge.
