They can go to the ocean together! 300+

When he awoke, he had a strange feeling, as if he had been dreaming of something fantastic. Hard has he tried to remember the dream, he couldn't seem to pick up even one of the pieces, for they were hidden deep within his subconscious. Unaware of the workings of the mind, he simply sighed his frustration and rolled of the bundled blankets, heading out of his and his family's sleeping room where he could peer out the windows. The Manor was filled with only dim light, puzzling him. Where was the light of the morning sun? When at last his deep blue eyes gazed up and through the window, he understood, for the sky was half-lit, a mute gray blue. It was still early.

He was no longer cautious of wandering away from his mother, now with almost three months to his life. Wihtout fear, he wandered out the front door and onto the porch, looking up into the vast sky to see that the sun was just peeking above the horizon, returning to his world from wherever it went during the darkness of night. Oak was unsure of what to do. No one else was awake, so he had limited options. He gazed across the long grasses of the Manor's front yard, eerily swaying in a morning breeze. Suddenly, a stronger wind began to blow from the East, bringing to his nose the smell of salt and water. The grass hissed in this new wind of the ocean, like a vast sea itself with its rippling green waves. It gave him an idea.

Smiling excitedly, he made his decision, bouncing down the worn, well-trodden front steps and into the grass. Then, the rust-furred boy ran into the wind, giggling, relishing his freedom to do as he pleased (if only for a few hours). He crossed the lands, following the saline smell of the ocean.
