That morning Nayati had stopped by Liliana's hut to find her not there and her scent somewhat faded from the place. He hadn't seen hide nor hair of her since the Summer ceremony. Not in the stables or in the town or anywhere else. He hadn't even seen her mare, Grace, recently. The male had just assumed that she was busy, not the overly worrying sort, but now he was becoming a little concerned. She had seemed fine at the ceremony. A little nervous, but that wasn't anything out of the ordinary for the somewhat shy woman. The Utina left her hut and walked around the village for a bit, but that turned up nothing either. He returned to his hut, head hung low. I hope she is alright, he thought. There weren't many here that he considered true friends, but the mixed female was one of them and he didn't like that he could not find her.

The man ducked into his own hut and then exited with his quiver and bow in hand. He needed to go do something to burn off this nervous energy and distract his mind from worrying about Liliana and the best remedy was to go hunting. The Enagayahe Kanati walked swiftly to the stables and took Iye from his stall. Unlike usual, nothing was said to the dapple grey stallion. Nayati had become completely focused and blocked out all other thoughts. He effortlessly mounted the horse and they rode off quickly into the woods of the territory. The Utina would start hunting in the AniWayan lands, but if he could find nothing within the fenced borders then he would move on past them. In times like these, he refused to go home from a hunt empty handed. Iye could sense his companions drive and focus and similarly steeled his own mind, ears forward and alert and waiting for any signal that they should slow or quiet their pursuit.
