The way Marika saw it, the best way to forget about your troubles was to make them forget about you. And the best way to get to that was to drown them in alcohol. It meant that although there would be a hangover to deal with in the morning, the sweet bitter acrid everything-in-one taste of booze would make her forget her troubles. However, drinking alone only lead to more misery and pain and if there was one thing that needed to be as far away from Marika as possible, it was misery and pain. But she couldn't engage Rurik in a drinking bout just yet, not as sudden as everything. So the grey wolfess turned to the only other family she knew of: Spyridon.

Moving towards Inferni territory carrying a bag of whisky bottles was nothing short of suicidal, especially as she carried no coyote blood in her veins. Still, visiting family wouldn't mean she would get mauled, surely? It wasn't like she wanted to waltz into the unfamiliar territory, because that would not go down well in any pack, of that much she was sure. But it was better than nothing, it was an opportunity to regain some control over her life and most of all, it was a chance to bond with family. Family. She let the word roll around in her head for a while, the gentle jingling of bottles in the bag a welcome background noise. Soon enough, she was nearing the familiar sights of the wolf skulls and the point where she had first met Spyridon.

Now, the waiting game began. Marika anxiously chewed on her lower lip, hoping that no Infernians found her before Spyridon did.
